Therefore,those nodes will group and decomposition and make groups of network reconfiguration continually to affect the stability of network. It is an important issue that how to choose a cluster manager of group to make topology of network stable. In this paper, we propose a mechanism of clustering and manager selecting in Ad-hoc network. The mechanism called UFCM, is a Unified Framework for Cluster Manager Election and Clustering Mechanism. It includes procedures like process of initial state of network, process of nodes join or leave a group, and process of cluster manager fail. Beyond that, we also propose a backup manager to take works of cluster manager when the cluster manager is damage. In brief, this study includes: (1) design a workable model in Ad-hoc network. Under this model, probe into the establishment of operating model and agreements in various situations; (2) design the transaction process and data structure that each agreement need; and (3) know through the emulation method possible of the bottleneck and problem, and improve the mechanism perfect.
