Although mobile communication devices can greatly increase efficiency, the power consumption is still an important problem that should be addressed. Previous researchers focused on searching the shortest path for data transmission in wireless multihop networks rather than consideration of power consumption.Unfortunately, it is impossible to supply unlimited power for mobile communication devices. Therefore, a power-based routing is a required protocol for transmitting data packets in such wireless networks. In this paper, we proposed Competitive On-Line approach to determine the optimal path with considering of power for maximizing the lifetime of wireless networks. Meanwhile, the proposed approach can achieve an optimal balanced loading among mobile nodes. Numerical results show that the proposed approach outperforms other approaches in number of consumed battery grids, number of control messages and packet delivery ratios.
