Interior design magazines have become the significant and influential mass media about design culture and living culture in Taiwan; therefore, studying the contents, compilation and influence is crucial to the interior design researches. This study pays close attention to living aesthetics and discusses the compilation and ideology and how to interact and affect the readers. In the research approach, we induce the interior design magazines to five categories, traditional case introduction、happy life of the middle class、elitist taste philosophy、DIY reference book、and complex living magazine. We analyze the designers’ and users’ roles in these five types and the orientation of living spaces. As a consequence, the study finds that the reveal of daily-life aesthetics differs in each category of the magazines. The next process is that we had in-depth interviews with six readers of different ages and works and got their points of view and attitudes. The interviews are put into the following targets, intentional reading、functional evaluation standard、space-time mutual conversation in reading、conservation of daily-life aesthetic decipherment and reading expectation with reality and ideal. At last, we reach some initial conclusions through the inter-analysis of magazine texts and the interviews with readers. First, the interior design magazines display the ideology of emphasizing the profession skill, brand consuming, and visual sense of beauty. Second, the contents of magazines can’t meet the readers’ expectations for there’re gaps between the two parties. Foremost, the interior design magazines though satisfy the need of aesthetic education, there’re doubts rising for the confinement to people’s esthetic sensibilities as well as their daily-life aesthetics’ definition and experience. Most importantly, it is the lack of the discussion and proposal about daily-life aesthetic and types among these interior design magazines in the market. The magazines focus narrowly on aesthetic and taste consumption, making their works fall into such an impractically virtual aesthetics. Boulin Hu 胡寶林 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 160 zh-TW |
