Summary: | 碩士 === 中原大學 === 化學研究所 === 94 === Guizotia abyssinica is primarily cultivated in India and its seeds have high content of linoleic acid. The MeOH extract of the aerial part of G. abyssinica was separated into water-soluble and water-insoluble portions. The water-soluble portion was successively chromatographed using Diaion HP-20, silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 to obtain four new compounds:3,2',4'-trihydroxy-4,3'-dimethoxychalcone (1) , abyssinone A (12) , abyssinone B (13) , and abyssinal (16), and together with twenty-five known compounds:isoliquitigenin (2), okanin (3), butein (4), quercetin (5), (–)-liquiritigenin (6), (–)-7,3',4'-trihydroxyflavanone (7), (–)-7,8,3',4'-tetrahydroxyflavanone (8), 7,3',4'-trihtdroxyflavone (9), 3,6-dihydroxy-1-menthene (10), 3-hydroxycarvotagenone (11), ovatifolin acetate (14), 14-acetoxy-8-hydroxycostunolide (15), ferulic acid (17), caffeic acid (18), p-hydroxybenzoic acid (19), p-coumaric acid (20), (Z)-p-hydroxycinnamic acid (21), syringic acid (22), vanillic acid (23), vanillin (24), caffeic acid methyl ester (25), scopoletin (26), esculetin (27), (+)-pinoresinol (28), and methyl 3,5-dicaffeoylquinate (29). These twenty-nine compounds were elucidated by mass and NMR spectral data.
