Ultraviolet radiation of the sunlightcauses the chalking of resin and the fading of pigment due to breaking down the chemical bonds in coatings. Two polyols, two dispersants, and four pigments, were used in polyurethane(PU) coating with or without a light stabilizer, which was prepared in the testing slice dried naturally 168 hours after adding a hardening agent. The study evaluated the weathering ability by glossmetry, spectrocolorimetry, chalking test, infrared spectroscopy etc. In resin 7303 specimen groups, the degradation by an accelerated weathering test for 1621 hours decreased significantly with dispersant 220S; however, in resin 5080 specimen groups, the better weathering stability was shown with dispersant 163. A light stabilizer 5050 was shown to be effective in retarding color, chalking and gloss change for some organic and inorganic pigments and PU resins. 陳立憲 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 65 zh-TW
