The 827 participants were from technology colleges in middle Taiwan. Instruments were included three scales: Life Stress Scale, General Self-Efficacy Scale, and Coping Strategies Scale. The validity, reliability, and pretest were taken. Results were showed that 1) major life stresses in this group were dimensions of school works, life goals, and interpersonal relationship. 2) Male students’ score in general self-efficacy was higher than female’s. Also, dimensions of impermanent leave aside and change in the Coping Strategies Scale were frequently coping strategies in this population. The dimension of avoid/escape strategy was used infrequently. 3) Gender and general self-efficacy were two major predictors in all five coping strategies (problem-solving, impermanent to leave aside, change, seek to help, and use avoid/escape strategies). The researcher suggested that 1) college teachers and nurses should offer curriculum and actions to improve students’ self-efficacy. 2) Schools should provide social support resources and establish a peer support system that can help students develop positive coping strategies.
