Summary: | 碩士 === 中國技術學院 === 建築研究所 === 93 === Taiwan is located on the Circum-Pacific Seismic Zone where earthquakes occur constantly. The building standards and codes for earthquake-bearing are therefore relatively important. Due to recent years’ severe earthquakes, the numbers of seismic researches have grown vigorously, however, only few of them have evaluated the correlation between earthquake-bearing and cost efficiency. We hope, via this research, that we can provide a link between the seismic studies to the Construction Cost evaluation, and also provide a reference for the future modification of the seismic codes.
The structure analysis and the evaluation of the Construction Cost are based on the new seismic formula which will be implemented at July, 1st, 2005. Calculations include different SAD with different stories RC building. The results are as followed:
1.The new seismic formula divides Taiwan province into 340 seismic sections. Our calculation shows only 8-14 results of cost differences ( 4-12 results if not include Taipei Basin). Some discrepancies are minor. Therefore, we suggest that only 3-5 sections are enough (excluding Taipei Basin), in order to simplify the formula and calculating process.
2.The Construction Cost differences per 0.01W (Taipei Basin excluded) are 50.3 NTD/V‧M2 ( 5-story building) to 130.2 NTD/V‧M2 (15-story building). The average difference is 90.7 NTD/V‧M2.
3.The Construction Cost differences per 0.01W for Taipei Basin) are 56.0 NTD/V‧M2 ( 5-story building) to 108.9 NTD/V‧M2 (15-story building). The average difference is 80.5 NTD/V‧M2.
