Summary:碩士 === 長榮大學 === 醫學研究所碩士班護理組 === 94 === Abstract  The purpose of this study was to investigate the status and the relationship between communication satisfaction and organizational commitment among clinical nursing staff. Purposive sampling was used to identify subjects from the department of nursing of a medical center in middle Taiwan. For this study, the questionnaire included a demographic data sheet, communication satisfaction scale and organizational commitment scale. A total of 239 subjects completed the questionnaire. The results revealed that: (1) clinical nursing staff's scores of the communication satisfaction and the organizational commitment were both ranged from three to four on seven-Point Likert Agreement Scale, which meant from neutral to satisfied; (2) in individual attributes, religion and marital status, showed significant meanings, in the difference between the communication satisfaction and the organizational commitment. Differences, which showed both in the aspects of the year of service in hospital to communication satisfaction and of with-or-without children and with-or-without administrative positions to organizational commitment, had significant meanings; (3) all values in communication satisfaction and those in organizational commitment have a positive relationship and significant meanings. Based on the result, the researcher provided suggestions in the management practice and in the future studies.
