It also uses Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to integrate the experiences of experts in the industry, government, academia and “ecology,” “safety,” “water accessibility,” “budget,” “time,” to establish appropriate evaluation factors, constructions, and evaluation standards in revetment construction for different river environments. It overlaps projected target radar graphs and embankment function radar graphs, to analyze the needs of each environment in terms of revetment construction, and further guide choices in selecting revetment forms and decisions in improvement. This study seeks to provide hydraulic engineering organization with a reference in assessing Taiwan’s rivers’ ecological engineering. After research and statistical analysis, the results are as follows: 1. Expert consensus is that rivers’ ecological engineering should be have after satisfy a base safety, attach great importance to the influence on the ecological environment of the project, There should be adjustment of the different environments. This is different from the current definition of the Public Construction Commission: “ecology as the function and safety as the guiding principle in engineering methods.” 2. In the 11 categories of river types, an establishment of individual management objectives and direction is beneficial for related agencies to put forth and integrate their goals in the rivers’ management interface. 3. To provide revetment designers choices and direction of improvement under different river environments; to make up for the problems caused by non-professional conceptualization, integrate investigation material about rivers, improve the method of choosing revetment forms with experience and set charts, and create location-based revetment engineering constructions.
