Summary:碩士 === 中華技術學院 === 機電光工程研究所碩士班 === 94 === Due to the fast development of the city and the multi-usage buildings in recent years, the design construction of the building tends to the pluralism. The occurrence of the fire is not reduced that the fire causes people more injuries and property loss than before. Whatever, the precautionary plan of the fire provides sufficient fleeing time to decrease people’s casualties in the fire accidents. Because the flow rate of smoke is quicker than the fire, the ventilation duct becomes the main reason for fire spreading. This research uses the ventilation duct and fire damper to study the fire situation with utilizing the FDS (Fire Dynamic Simulator) software. FDS is developed originally by American national institute of standard and technology (NIST) that can simulate fire conditions to investigate the smoke and fire circumstances to estimate people fleeing time. Utilizing this FDS software, we construct the model with three dimensions space house and set up the ventilation duct and fire damper to do simulation. The simulation results show the real fire situation that can evaluate the fireproof ability of ventilation duct and fire damper in the office of high buildings.
