The distributed antennas are connected to a reader through an access node which consists of Wilkinson power splitters (WPS), band pass filters (BPF) and gain amplifiers (GA). Due to the polarization of electromagnetic field, the installation of the antennas should be to arrange on the vertical and horizontal directions with the left/right and above/below of the object, respectively, which can increase the object identification on the uncertain tag directions. According to simulated and experimental results, the proposed structure using four distributed half wavelength dipole antennas can extent the cover area of electromagnetic filed and effectively increase the tag identification for the RFID systems.
