Description
Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 化工與材料工程研究所 === 94 === In this study, poly (vinyl alcohol)(PVA) were modified by UV radiation. Polymer electrolytes comprising of PVA, poly (HEMA) ( and poly (Acrylic acid)) and water have been prepared by solvent casting method. The electrolytes membrane immerse in 40 wt% KOH solution. Discuss with composition, thermal stability, swelling of materials and the electrical property of electrolytes of cell system. Composition analysis for electrolyte indicates that the amorphous of PVA increases with the content of HEMA and Acrylic acid. It proves HEMA and Acrylic acid destroy the crystalline of PVA. Thermal analysis informs the melt point of PVA/poly (HEMA) and PVA/poly (Acrylic acid) shifting to low temperature. The Enthalpy decreasing shows the lower crystallinity. The increasing of thermal degradeation temperature improves the thermal stability of materials. Immerse test obtains the swelling of membranes increased with increasing time, and the immerse rate of membranes increased with increasing the content of HEMA and Acrylic acid. According to electrical analysis, ionic conductivity of PVA/poly (HEMA) and PVA/poly (Acrylic acid) increases with temperature on the rise, and the electrochemical stability window at the metal/electrolyte interface is of 1V for stainless steel.
