The main findings of this research are as follows:
Ⅰ. Junior High School teachers’ views such as follows:
A. The nine-year integrated curriculum was designed without moral education.
B. The teachers would want to teach students morality but couldn’t do it well.
C. The students cannot esteem and care for others.
D. Moral education should put into practice in daily life and in the family.
E. Moral education should merge into the instructions of all subjects and let students learn to reflect.
Ⅱ. Junior High School teachers’ moral role perception is as follows:
A. The teachers should perform moral role.
B. The teachers are also people who maybe make mistakes, so they should observe the moral rules.
C. The teachers could be friends of the students and listen to them.
D. The teachers’ daily life which is not illegal but breaks the moral rules could be accepted.
Ⅲ. Junior High School teachers’ moral role performance is as follows:
A. The teachers make themselves an example.
B. The teachers dispose the chasm between teachers and students.
C. The teachers introspect themselves.
D. The teachers concern the act of moral thinking.
E. Moral instruction is connects with social life.
F. The teachers teach the parents correct moral intellection.
G. The teachers treat their students equally.
H. The teachers esteem their students in the act of instruction.
I. The teachers understand and care for their students.
J. The teachers abide moral self-discipline.
Based on the research results, the followings are recommended:
Ⅰ. For the Junior High School teachers’ moral role perception and performance :
A. The teachers should teach morality in the act of instruction of nine-year integrated curriculum.
B. The teachers should boost moral education by self-empowerment.
C. The teachers should equip themselves with moral role perception.
D. The teachers should perform moral role in the instruction.
Ⅱ. For further studies:
A. The research objects could include principals and city school teachers.
B. Participant observation could be tried on to study and understand teachers’ moral role perception and performance more deeply.
C. The research subjects could include teachers’ moral role perception and professional development or the evaluation of teachers’ moral role performance in order to promote teachers’ moral role.
