| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 成人及繼續教育所 === 94 === The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between participation in school volunteer service and life satisfaction of retired teachers.
450 questionnaires were sent out, and 342 were returned with rate of 76％. The total number of valid questionnaires were 327. The instrument is “participation in school volunteer service and life satisfaction of retired teachers questionnaire”.
The conclusion of this study：
1. Most of retired teachers participation in school volunteer service one day a week, under number of hours worked 16 hours a week. In participating attitude is active, the participating effect is good.
2. Life satisfaction of retired teachers is high.
3. The main reasons of non-participation are that retired teachers must look after family, have another work, and do not have time.
4. The factors of influencing participation in school volunteer service , including health condition and the support of family.
5. The factors of life satisfaction , including ages, retirement time, education , marriage, health condition, economic condition, inhabitation status and the support of family.
6. There is positive relationship between participation in school volunteer service and life satisfaction of retired teachers.
Based upon the result of this research, hoping to provide proper suggestion for retired teachers, school and references for future studies.
