Summary: | 碩士 === 國防大學中正理工學院 === 應用化學研究所 === 94 === In this study, shaking extraction, Soxhlet extraction and microwave-assisted extraction(MAE) for the reclamation of ammonium perchlorate(AP) from solid composite propellant samples, using water and some organic solvents as the extractants, were evaluated in detail. The characteristics of the recycled AP crystals were investigated by means of FTIR, Micro-Raman, XRD, EDX, TGA and elemental analysis. The results indicated that the percentage of extraction of AP from solid composite propellant samples by MAE was more efficient in short time followed by Soxhlet extraction and shaking extraction methods. Maximum percentage extraction of AP was obtained by MAE extraction technique. MAE only needs few 5~10 minutes, whereas Soxhlet extraction needs 16 hours, respectively to obtain higher percentage extraction of AP. Due to the considerable saving of time, high extraction efficiency and high economical potential, microwave-assisted water extraction is cleaner, cheaper and more effective than the conventional Soxhlet extraction method
