Summary: | 碩士 === 國防大學中正理工學院 === 造船工程研究所 === 94 === About most of the model experiments of underwater submerged body, struts are usually used to fix the experimental model in the water tunnel experiment. However, the flow field during the experiment will be interfered by the strut or device of erecting in the water tunnel. Although, so far using the theoretically method or correction factor could be employed to improve the above situation, the experimental results still remained some indefinable errors due to the interference. In this paper, a numerical tank with the similar conditions as the water tunnel of experiment would be built. It will be applied as a numerical tool to reveal the flow field around the submerged bodies, and analyze the disturbance flow field arised by the strut which was used to support them. Then in accordance with the results obtained by the numerical simulation, the interference by the strut could be estimated.
In the paper, the research will focus on a streamlined torpedo model and the artificial-reefs, which could be applied to study the interference arised by the strut fixed on the submerged body. The finite volume method with a well-valid k−ε model and the volume of fluid method would be employed to fulfill the flow simulation with the free surface effect for a underwater submerged body. The numerical simulation would include six different cases, which would perform the flow computation for the submerged bodies with or without the struts. The numerical results could be used to analyze the extent of the strut which could interfer flow field. Furthermore, the result of numerical simulation could be employed to provide an important information for experimental design for the model experiment to reduce the error raised by the existence of body-supporting struts.
