The author discussed transformation about politics, religion and art. In politics, the pharaoh went to recapture political leadership power from the Amen temple’s priest, thus he planned large-scale the move motion, the moved capital from Thebes to center Egypt’s Amarna, in the political diplomacy because he craved to the religious worship and he neglected affairs of state, caused the dependent country have far away from Egypt, and submitted to the Hittite Empire, the pharaoh lose leading power in Palestinian area gradually. In religion, because the society flooded with witchcraft, supernatural power and fantasy of after world , therefore Akhenaten abolished the traditional polytheism worship, and worshipped simple sun god of the Aten, everybody can feel sun god’s ray and gift. In art, the artistic style was liberated from traditional pattern, the workman can freely created art, In this time, sculpture works are natural and realistic style, the relief gets ridded of the former pattern for pharaoh’s heroic history and depicted picture for happy pharaoh with his family.
After Akhenaten is in power for 17 years, the religion reformation defeated, the priest group were in power once again, the religion restored to the traditional polytheism worship, although this time is a very short period in the ancient Egypt’s history, but actually, scholar are very interest in this short period and the heretic pharaoh, they always talk about religion transition, the partial scholar thought Akhenaten was pioneered in monotheism, the Moses’s religion was from Akhenaten’s religion, Was that true? Scholar’s archaeology evidence always had wide divided opinions, no answer can make sure, but I can sure that all religions descend from another anything, anybody, and they were not sudden advent.
The author hope to understand why the ancestors do carry out a religion reformation the cause and effect? And compare religion reformation of the same and the difference point with King Henry VIII. I hope that I will provide discussion on religion reformation in every way, and offer of reference for studies reference in the future.
