Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 機械工程學系 === 93 === Firstly, The flow-field design of the Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC) is an important subject about the DMFC,s performance. Flow-fields play an important role on ability to transport fuel and drive out the products. In general, most of fuel cells utilize the same type of flow-field in anode and cathode side. The popular flow-fields uses on DMFC,s are parallel and grid types. However, the characteristics of reactants and products are entirely different in anode and cathode of DMFC. Consequently, we investigated the influences of the flow-fields design on the cell performance. To get the better and more stable performance of DMFC, three flow-fields (Parallel, Grid and Serpentine) are utilized with different combination in this research. As a consequence, by using parallel flow-field in anode side and serpentine flow -field in cathode, we got the better and more stable performance of DMFC. Secondly, An air-breathing direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) is attractive for portable-power. However, there are , several barriers that must be overcome before DMFCs reach commercially viability. This work studied the design, fabrication, and performance evaluation of a25cm2,passive, air-breathing, room-temperature, direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC). It takes oxygen from the surrounding air. This study shows that the cell power density is strongly affected by the fabrication conditions of the various metals current collectors and by the technique used for assembly of the cell components.
