During the repair of a product, we can retrieve a similar case from the case base by the similarity coefficient and adapt the solution provided from the old case. The scope of the research includes system demand architecture, system design, system implementation and verification procedures, etc… In this case study, we applied『Case Base Reasoning』to design this Intelligent Repair System. Through the computation of the similarity coefficient between a new failure product and the old cases in the database, we retrieve a couple of the similar old cases for decision. These old cases provide valuable data for repair engineers’ reference. By reference these data, Repair engineer could enhance the quality of diagnosis and reduce the time and cost of repair.
