| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 空間設計系碩士班 === 93 === This paper is to discuss the structure of traditional ouses and the coding system in the mountain area of Yunlin County. The residents widely use the material, bamboo and lumber, to develop the mixed structure of these two materials。 The material is simple， however, the appearance of the structural frame is various and complex, and is appropriate for the basic research of the structure of the traditional house。
the present researches of the traditional house, are mostly focnsed on dacumonts nor the historical study， feng-shui , and the wooden frame。 It has been rarely discussed about the mixed structure of the bamboo and Timber of the traditional house，Neither the ecords are suffictent. There it is an urgent need to build up a descriptive system for recording and documenation。

Through analysis above， it can be built up a code system which can describe the mixed structure of bamboo and lumber. In addition to easy understanding and describing the bamboo-and-wood structure of traditional house，it can be hopfully adopted to build up the structural information of all kinds of the traditional houses generally。
