According to the mature of the technology of streaming media, the enlargement of network that CHT made for the customers of ADSL. The network market will enter the era of high speed broadband. We expect the application of broadband will become more popular, diversity, digitalize and will lead the development of digital content industry. The interactive multimedia value-added MOD of broadband will become killer application of broadband which leads the broadband network and digital content industries into the glory scenery. Digital televisions network will integrate developing with telecommunication. The interactive multimedia service will be the biggest driver of development of technology and digital industry. The interactive multimedia service is creating the new technological revolution which will fully affect the life of humanity, i.e., changing the element of life. According to the technology and economy development, this study focuses on exploring the interaction between the driver of technology and knowledge economy. We explore the situation and development of interactive multimedia technology and service by using the technical prediction to find out the direction of digital broadband value-added service call MOD interactive multimedia service. We hope that our country and relevant industries will find the new opportunity of market and create the national competitive ability. Through the technical prediction, secondary data, the analysis of digital broadband value-added service and SWOT analysis, we can find the developmental strategy and direction of digital broadband value added in the future to raise the competitive ability of telecommunication and digital industry and as the reference of the telecommunication entrepreneur in Taiwan and government for promoting the digital industry. Thus they can select the best combination of value-added service depends on the different demand on managing value-added service under the market environment, industry character in Taiwan. Major Findings: MOD multimedia service of the CHT is able to improve and promote the high broadband service by applying the policy of government and developing model of foreign countries. Catch the opportunities properly, using the technology advantage well, to lead the development of multimedia industry and replace the access network by FTTx, to build the better development of broadband and integrate voice, data and application of multimedia to enter the family total digital service market and the preferment through information carrier to intelligent carrier, to build a successful business model. Government should play a stronger and leading role to improve the telecommunication enterprise to provide a better digital broadband environment.
