The studies and the international conference revealed the rate of Autism continued to increase. In addition, the studies showed that children with Autism had Anxiety behaviors. The purpose of studying was to investigate the effectiveness of “deep pressure touch treatment” by using Temple Grandin Squeeze Machine in Autistic Adolescents with Anxiety behaviors. The improvements of Anxiety behaviors in Autistic adolescents were discussed by different levels of “deep touch pressure treatment”. During the pilot study, twenty-seven adolescents with Autism were randomly assigned to three experimental groups as group I, group II and group lll. The subjects were treated with thirty pounds per square inch (psi), fifty psi and 0psi. After treatment, finded with thirty psi all subjects had improved(9/9), with fifty psi six subjects had improved(6/9),but in 0psi only five subjects had improved. Thirty-two adolescents from the Taipei School of Special Education with Autism, age from twelve to nineteen. The subjects were randomly assigned to two experimental groups as group I and group II. All of the subjects were assigned to sit in Temple Grandin Squeeze Machine. The subjects in group I were treated with thirty psi, the group II were treated with fifty psi. The Scale for Assessing Anxiety Behaviors (SAAB) was used to evaluate the Anxiety behaviors before and after treatment. The results showed that in both group I and group II the Anxiety behaviors decreased after treatment. However, there was no significant difference in the scores of SAAB in group II compared to before treatment. The results indicated that the Anxiety behaviors can be reduced by using Temple Grandin Squeeze Machine. The treatment effect with thirty psi was better than that of fifty psi in decreasing the Anxiety behaviors in the subjects with Autism.
