Description
Summary:碩士 === 大同大學 === 工業設計學系(所) === 93 === As the new prevalent of the thin screen TV, the relation between it and its users is closer recently. Thus, the design in operation interface of that TV is increasingly important because of the difference in operation between thin screen and CRT TV. This research is aimed to discuss the relevant issues about button interfaces of thin screen TV, and further analyze whether those will effect the whole design. From the earlier study, it is shown that there is no clearly classifications and rules on buttons’ intervals and diameters, no matter what screen dimension or brands are. That is, no fixed design norms on current designing observation exists at present, and so does button forms. The reason may be the overall coordination for design demands or TV set styles. Thus, in this research, 3 stages of study have done by available analysis for the optical intervals, positions, and sizes of button of thin screen TV. If designers take the application performance of users on the available ranges about 12 to 15mm in diameter, and 19 to 22.5mm in intervals, the regression equation: Y= -0.109 X+2.09(Y: Frequency of Erroneous Touch, X: Button Intervals)has been shown, the influence of Frequency of Erroneous Touch on Button intervals. Results have indicated that the best operation performance occurs in 22.5mm interval of button, as well as 12mm/22.5mm, 14mm/22.5mm and 15mm/22.5mm diameter/interval combination taken for the reference of button design. The button intervals had more influence on the application performance than did button diameter. Button locations in front of TV sets will be helpful to enhance application performance. To know about whether button forms and locations could actually effect the overall outlook design for thin screen TV sets, this research will implement the form image test and analysis by means of verbal meaning difference. Thus, the causal relation between design elements and images of existing thin screen TV sets will be discussed and the heuristic learning mode to testify the image resulting from thin screen TV also be adopted. As known from the analysis, both button forms and locations of button interfaces are not the important elements for form designing. This means the button forms are available for designers to make overall coordination according to the overall design demands of thin screen TV, so the design efforts shall be emphasized on users' operation performance on operation interfaces. The results from this research are not only helpful for the development of thin screen TV and other relevant industries, but also can provide the design norms available for thin screen TV for following design efforts.
