碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 美術創作碩士班 === 93 === 「Space Imagination of Human Body」-Sculpture creations of Chihwen Wang. The content of this report primarily focus on my sculpture works from the year 2001 to 2005， under the theme of“imagination”．The details description is divided as the following five chapters: Chapter 1 「Introduction」-This chapter states the reasons why have I enjoy to work on human body sculpture. Throughout the detail stories in the sculpture history topic of human body best represent sculpture art. Human body''s physical figure and their inner characteristic are the main features that I focus to present. Chapter 2 「Discovery of plastic conception」-This chapter, explained the plastic art of each work in details. As in one of a sculpture，a human body with a simple gesture lies above a material that appears apparent expansion. Though the contradiction of "coherence inside" and "expansion outside", the work itself lead viewer to a new visual experience, or in other words to another level of conceptive extension. Chapter 3「Combination and transformation of human body and medias」-This chapter examine the new structural effect that created by the combination of the sculpture itself and other additional materials. Chapter 4「Discovery of metaphoric space」-This chapter discuss the metaphor of each work in a exhibition. When the sculpture works are present in the exhibition that involve with viewers, it is certainly to resulted a space and sound adjustment. The element of "interaction" between the sculpture and the viewers hence become more obvious. Viewers'' participation affected the meaning original order, in other words, the new effect relieve then reorganize the whole structure．The entire atmosphere in the exhibition adjusted from an initially stable state to a repetition of dynamic and astonished condition. Viewers'' role interchanged from an outsider to become a part of the work extended their inner impression of time and space. Therefore result a progressive improvement in the interactive effect Chapter 5「Conclusion」-This chapter descript how I once doubt and wonder about sculpture when I faced different working environment. Through the guidance and assistance of many great teachers, I eventually realize the magnificent of human body, and found out the inner sensitivities inside myself.
