Being an organic unity, it owns certain logic, context and surface that can be listened to, analyzed, or interpreted. Regarding self-sufficiency of music as a prerequisite, the thesis consists three chapters, which are Refinement, Transformation, and Demonstration of Composition. According to hierarchical steps and levels, I try to find out several aspects on music composing, such as the collection and refinement of the materials and thinking, as well as how to transform them into music. No matter what the initial intention is, the composition must achieve itself as music. Hence I’ll induce and analyse their possibility and process, proving by the composition. Introduction Chapter One Refinement: Initial Intention of Music Creation I Inspiration II Thought and Design III Musical Ideas Chapter Two Transformation: Formation, Construction, and Completion of Music I Transformation of Shape II Transformation of Condition III Transformation of Acoustic Sounds IV Diverse Levels and Surface of Transformation Chapter Three Demonstration of Composition: Sample as “What’s Twinkling in the Distance” I Form and Introduction II Pitch Set and Harmonic System III Rhythm, Pulse, and Figure IV Timbre, Instrumentation, Texture, and Sound Combination V Expression of Spirit and Concept Summary PAN, Huang-Long 潘皇龍 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 40 zh-TW
