After the moving images being invented in the 19th century, human beings record their historical life styles with consciously or unconsciously. It has the similar functions of historical documents, characters, drawings, literatures for the accumulation and transmission of memory. However, the storage media of moving images in early era, we call it -Celluloid which has the fragile characteristics.. (such as inflammable and physical deterioration) It must be preserved in the proper temperature and humidity environment to keep for a long time. The early society of Taiwan overly pays attention on economic development and generally lacks the consciousness of keeping cultural properties. Until the year around 1990, under the leadership of “Chinese Taipei Film and Archive” has rescued and accumulated some early films. But ten years later, the Moving Images Preservation mission seems to face a lot of obstructions resulting in the limited progresses. In addition, with the rapid development of new storage media and information technology in recent years, they create a new situation for preservation. Through the analysis of historical literatures and the observations of phenomenon, this study collects, organizes, looks into and explores the past, current time and difficulties of “Moving Images Preservation” mission to try to find the key points of problems. Moreover, it is based on the public benefit to explain the concepts and meanings of the preservation and accumulation of moving images. From the findings of this study, it was observed that the knowledge of “Moving Images” covers various professional fields (such as filmology, library and information science, archival science, museology, sociology etc.). To preserve well not only depends on material preservation and restoration technology, but also need clear idea to support and suitable ability to Moving Images analysis then to integrate the different professional knowledge. Preservation is not only collection and restoration; but also a series of process for guaranteeing moving images can be accessed permanently. The proactive preservation attitude is the only guarantee for the complete implement of preservation of moving images. In addition, with the diversified development of the moving images media, every kind of moving image may include specific potential value for society in the future waiting to be explored or to establish exclusive preservation or collection organization. And it is worth developing a systematic selection policy to keep organization growth stable. 井迎瑞 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 89 zh-TW |
