Summary: | 碩士 === 臺南藝術學院 === 博物館學研究所 === 93 === In order to maintain the professional level of museums in this fast changing society, organized on-the-job training for museum staffs is necessary. Especially in Taiwan, a large portion of museum management system is controlled by government; therefore, the only way to raise the quality of service from the museums themselves is on-the-job training. The purpose of this survey is to study the context of museum development and the method of maintaining the professional level of museums nowadays through documentation from the counties whose museum industry are flourishing. Meanwhile, it will also discuss modification of professional training of the ICOM; from emphasizing training single ability of professionals from museums point of view to satisfying the need of society from the public points of view. Therefore, while training professional ability, the concept of competency development is emphasized. From enriching inner quality and self-identification to external knowledge and ability, which are all important points that can’t be missed when promoting on-the-job training for museum professionals.
Meanwhile, this survey will analysis how the Taiwanese government viewing roles of museums in the society through “Work Note of the Exhibition Department of the Provincial Taiwan Museum.” In addition, assigning condition and training mode of museum staffs will also be explored. At last, we will summarize the development experience of museum industry in foreign countries as well as the future trend, and make overall conclusion and suggestion according to the enforcement of the on-the-job training of museum staff in Taiwan nowadays from the environment support and the planning process. Through the enforcement of structural on-the-job training, we hope to promote museums toward professional development
