碩士 === 臺北市立師範學院 === 視覺藝術研究所 === 93 === Abstract Key Words: Taiwan, Colony, Visual Culture, Amalgamation Due to the special geographic location, the character of the visual culture in Taiwan is the multi-elements style. This multi-elements visual culture makes the politic standpoint changing pretty often to discontinue the main body of culture continuation, which makes this culture on this island represents the multi-country style. The people on this island has been suffered the colonial control by other races and also has the uncertain relationship with mainland of Asia, which create the difference on the culture and identification among all level of the people. The different societal phenomenon leaded by the difference among the process of culture contact, shock, and amalgamation can be seen on all level of the people on the island. That is the reason made the vision culture richly in Taiwan. The people in Taiwan recently have the anxiety of the outside environment changing and the inside decreased interaction among them. This anxiety makes the emotion phenomenon of the culture amalgamation. This research is to study the changing of the visual culture referencing idea of the surrealism and including the author’s invention the to create the society collective behavior and new meaning of the visual culture topic. By way of the oil painting skill and the symbolic mixed image with the philosophical humor to translate the deep meanings of the culture phenomenon in Taiwan, this article is to create the new painting style with the personal gusto.
