The objective of this study is to research “The Operation and Related Factors of Cross-school Collaboration in Elementary Schools of Taipei City“, including the elementary school teachers’ cognition, effects, difficulties, and related factors of the cross-school collaboration operation. With results of this study, this research will provide recommendations to the proper authorities of the education affairs, nine-year consistent curriculum promotion team, collaboration center school, and all elementary schools as the reference for self-review of managing the cross-school collaboration operation activities or future study.
As the researcher’s cognition, compared with the “partner relationship”, “cross-school allied organization”, “coordination and cooperation”, or “strategic alliance”, the cross-school collaboration operation has the meaning of same result achieved by different methods. Therefore, the researcher chose the above-mentioned words as keywords and collected related literature to work out this research frame. Secondly, based on the objective of this study and raised questions, the questionnaire on “the Research on the Operation and Related Factors of Cross-school Collaboration Operation in Elementary Schools of Taipei City” was devised and the elementary school teachers in Taipei City were the random sample. Total 740 copies of this questionnaire were sent out and 677 copies were answered as well as 661 copies were valid. With the Average, Standard Miscalculation, Percentage, Independent Sample T-test, Independent Sample One-Factor Analysis of Variance, Chi-square Test, and Haberman (a posteriori comparisons), the collected data have reached results as followed:
1. The cognition of the cross-school collaboration operation: Generally speaking, more than 80% of the elementary school teachers have affirmed to the establishment of the nine-year consistent curriculum promotion team.
2.The effects of the cross-school collaboration operation: Generally speaking, the elementary school teachers have affirmed to the effects of the cross-school collaboration.
3.The difficulties of the cross-school collaboration operation: Generally speaking, the elementary school teachers have affirmed to the existence of the difficulties of the cross-school collaboration.
4.The related factors of the cross-school collaboration operation: The elementary school teachers selected the item of “the teacher serving concurrently as a administrant should encourage other teachers to join the cross-school collaboration operation activities” to be the priority.
According to the result of this research, following recommendations are provided to the proper authorities of the education affairs, nine-year consistent curriculum promotion team, collaboration center school, and all elementary schools as the reference for self-review of managing the cross-school collaboration operation activities or future study:
1.The proper authorities of the education affairs: To grasp the thoroughness of the propaganda for the policy, to solicit teachers who are different service years and appointments for those opinions while arranging the OJT study activities, and to re-evaluate the function of the nine-year consistent curriculum.
2.The nine-year consistent curriculum promotion team: To be responsible for assisting the collaboration center school and to plan setting up the information sharing platform.
3.The collaboration center school: The management of the collaboration activities should focus on the experience sharing among cross-schools. To arrange the professional dialog whose topics are broached by attendees and visit the exemplary school.
4. The administrative units of the school: To arrange different teachers to attend the cross-school collaboration conference. To arrange attendees of the cross-school collaboration conference to share their experience with other teachers. To provide assistance to the new or young teachers.
5. The elementary school teachers: To join the professional dialog with the teacher serving concurrently as a administrant, to self-encourage to attend the OJT study activities positively, and to absorb merits of other people.
