Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 電腦與通訊研究所 === 93 === In indoor environment, the causes of degradation of wireless communication system are due to multi-path and co-channel interference. Besides, for the demands of multi-functions and compact size, the inner circuits are reduced relatively which cause the degradation of the circuit efficiency and communication quality. In this thesis, we implement the compact printed inverted-F switched-beam smart antenna for 2.4GHz wireless communications. We use IE3D to implement the single inverted-F antenna and exploit array antenna theory to accomplish 1x4 inverted-F array antenna. Besides, the Butler Matrix is used to cause the phase difference of each antenna element and to form the four-beam switch-beam smart antennas. For validating the capability of using the composed inverted-F smart antenna in the indoor wireless communications, the pattern data of the switch-beam inverted-F smart antenna are exported into propagation software and compared with omni-directional antenna for coverage and performance in the same indoor environment. As the result was shown, the switched-beam inverted-F smart antenna can increase the received power and reduce the root mean square(RMS) delay spread value hence improves the communication performance and coverage.
