This thesis design will discuss about the “Green architecture” on 3 ideas when enter into the informational era. From the introspection done by surrounding environment on Green architecture, the space characteristic for offices and residences, and the new designs can come from computer tools in architectural design with the residential design of an informational staff. The site in Wen-Cho street in Taipei was chosen for its fulfillments on the residency of informational staff and its satellite office. 1. Green Architecure: Start from the urban heat island effect in the site, the research is based on the natural ventilation to design the building instead of artificial air conditioner. First, observe the humidity, wind speed, and the human comforts in the site to see if natural ventilation can be conduct throughout the site. This is done on computer by the 3-dimensional simulation analysis equipment (ANSYS software) to replace the nowadays inaccurate way of analysis. From the results, one can decide the measurements and its composition of the building. 2. Combination of office and residence: From the development of computers and internet technology, the border between the office and residence is becoming more or less blurry. The work contents, time and location of people are constantly changing, so in architecture, the combination of office and residence is essential. An important designing emphasis is to release the stress of information technological staff in their working space. The designing pattern is the subject of this research. It is mainly focused on the residence of information technological staff. These include mainly the residential unit, and the other facilities in work, residence and community. We also hope one can release its stress from work with the aid from the natural environment with multilevel public space. 3. The design and analysis of computer tools: This thesis is about nature ventilate. Analysis of today on air stream for street scale is too ideally simple. It cannot be applied onto the realistic complicated environment also cannot give the accurate help on architectural design. This design use the site built by computer software to see the surrounding streets in 3-dimensional mode. Enter the wind speed and wind direction of the site into the software, after the accurate of calculation and analysis, it can decide where to fit nature ventilate unit, as well as to decide the best location, including the height for nature ventilate to arrange the composition for the building.
