Sixty one patients who underwent open abdominal surgery were randomly assigned into two groups. The control group received routine thermal management with a full-length circulating water mattress. The experimental group received extra three electric blankets that covered both hands and legs separately. Effects were measured by perioperative nasopharyngeal temperature. Results showed 1) the experimental group could prevent hypothermia than control group during the whole process of surgery; 2) since 60 minutes after induction, the core temperature of experiment group could maintain no more decreasing; 3) after the surgery, the tympanic temperature of experimental group could maintain higher than 36 ℃when just arrived at recovery room. This study indicated that providing active warming strategies for peripheral thermal compartment can prevent perioperative hypothermia effect. Lu-Ping Lee 李茹萍 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 71 zh-TW
