The number of patients to take the breast cancer examination is increase in recent years. The doctor has to pay more attention for the diagnosis for breast cancer. It is a heavy works and very depends on the experience. The purpose of this thesis is to build the web-based data inference system to help diagnosis. The system applies the webservices architectures, the data can be managed via internet. The DICOM breast cancer image can be integrated with the database by using the ASP.NET framework. The statistical methods based on manual-defined weighting, multiple regression analysis, and discriminant analysis are implemented to the clinical cases in the database for breast tumor for inference system. The major results of the study include (1) building the database of breast tumors integrating the DICOM image and patient information, (2) establishing the statistical models-based breast tumors inference system for assistant diagnosis, (3) modifying the Java Applet open codes of DICOM image browser, and (4) developing the advance keyword searching.
