A Case Study of China Times' AWT Editorial System by Utilizing Diffusion of Innovation Theory

碩士 === 世新大學 === 傳播研究所(含博士班) === 93 === This research is a case study, introduce the domestic computerized background of journalism first, and then probe into China Times to adopt AWT editorial system cause, and examine to influence editorial staff in terms, go by way of questionnaire, interview and observing ,etc. Collect the materials through document and questionnaire and interview first in this research. Then, use Rogers (Everett M. Rogers ) Diffusion of Innovation theory to makes analysis, Find at eight discovery finally. First, the AWT editorial system was adopted by China Times, that accord with Diffusion of Innovation the five characteristics of an innovation. Five attributes of innovations are:(1)relative advantage, (2)compatibility, (3)complexity, (4)trialability, and (5)observability. Second, editorial department of China Times' Innovation in organization the cause agrees with Diffusion of Innovation theory. Third, in consequences of innovation, the side of newspaper office organizes it is favorable and 'desirable', but cause the influence that 'undesirable' of reducing the staff etc. on editor members. Fourth, AWT editorial system can combine the picture and text composing , and print the affair system with China Times inclusively originally, it is the main reason for adopting the conduct. Fifth, new science and technology correlate with innovation and promoting in the hope of being improved of news, as the same in the newspaper editor's department. Sixth, the newspaper editor is glad to accept innovation, experience that science and technology are improved, but auxiliary training is still insufficient. Seventh, news value displacement is hastened by current situation, editor's policy takes reader's demand as the direction. Eighth, editorial staff's age and service seniority person of 5 to 15 years, enter and develop a difficult position; Though discontented with present situation, still going more 'go on all the time'.
