Summary: | 碩士 === 世新大學 === 傳播研究所(含博士班) === 93 === Among the increasing development of media, broadcasting still plays an essential role in the media arena. A large group of the public habitually turn on the radio to listen to broadcast news while the occurrence of catastrophe or while driving. However, the limited number of academic and/or practical literature on the production of feature programs with depth not only keeps students studying broadcasting or journalism from crossing the doorstep, but also makes no rules for reporters to follow in practice.
In recent years, the media in Taiwan keep hunting for news with sensualism. Reports on underprivileged groups are nowhere to be seen. Such a phenomenon, of course, receives wide criticism. Reports of this kind are also rarely seen in broadcast field. Due to the above-mentioned fact, the writer of this Report, with over ten years’ experience as radio reporter, produced a series of feature programs, entitled “The Waning Moon Glows on the Land, The Loving Warmth Fills in the Heart”, on mentally and physically challenged people. Through in-depth interviews and carefully written scripts and production, the writer intended to make her contribution to the underprivileged groups.
This Report is created because the writer produced a series of feature programs, “The Waning Moon Glows on the Land, The Loving Warmth Fills in the Heart” during the process of study on the job. The series received the 2003 Award of Bright Society Report presented by Taipei City Journalist Association. As a national award, it possesses its representativeness in the broadcast field. The writer of this Report hereby documents her interview experience and production procedure to make a good example of broadcast feature programs as well as an academic and practical reference for the research and production of broadcast features.
