| Summary: | 碩士 === 東吳大學 === 中國文學系 === 93 === Due to the prosperous atmosphere of literature, p’ien-li-wen was popular during Southern dynasties. The style came from the gorgeous style of “pai-o”, and gave birth to the new style of the literature in Liang and Cheng dynasties. The studies of Sung-Chi literature often focus on the development of “p’ien wen”, though “li-tsao” are discussed as well, it’s insufficient to understand the whole of the period. Therefore, this thesis will discuss the “li t’i wen” of Sung and Chi dynasties, to make it clear the value of such kind of literature.
The thesis is divided into six chapters. Chapter 1, “Introduction”, is about the motivation, methods, range, and the introduction of former papers of the study. In chapter 2 ,”The environment of Sung and Chi literary circles”, there are four sections to discuss the influence of literary environment toward “li tzu”. Chapter 3 is “The characteristics of Sung and Chi li t’i wen”. Chapter 4, “Characteristics of Liu-sung li t’i wen”, and chapter 5, “Characteristics of Hsiao-chi li t’i wen”, discuss famous authors of the period. I think that the literary circles was most prosperous during Yuen-chia and Yung-ming reigns. In chapter 6, “Conclusion”, there comes the general critic of Sung-chi li-t’i wen.
