Description
Summary:碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 觀光事業學系研究所 === 93 === The rapidly emerging digital business environment yields enterprises an entirely new set of processes into the electronized business domain. To better understand the strategies and performances during the electronization of business in the Hospitality industry, we surveyed the key persons, who have participated in their electronization processes, on their opinions. Drawing from economic and cognitive theories, the firms within the Hospitality industry were investigated tend to cluster together, following similar strategies. Using 47 samples of international tourist hotels in Taiwan, this thesis develops the e-strategic groups according to their responses to e-strategy questions, and then examines the differences in operating performances across strategic groups. Appeal to 4 strategic dimensions—organized resources, information technology, markets & customers and processes concluded from literature, 24 strategy variables are developed. With a factor analysis approach 6 factor dimensions has been extracted, and three strategic groups, named steady, conservative, and positive groups were identified by Ward’s method based upon their features shown on the 6 factors dimensions. As for the operating performances, 18 operating performance variables are developed according to the financial, customer, internal processes, learning and growth, and information technology perspectives. Using One-way ANOVA and LSD statistical method, this thesis empirically tests the cross-group differences in operating performance. The empirical results indicate that there are significant cross-group differences in most of the operating performance perspectives examined in this thesis.
