Summary: | 碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 資訊管理學系研究所 === 93 === Use of the Internet has broken the boundaries among nations and makes global competition unavoidable. In business, application of information technology to maintain or boost competitive advantages has naturally followed these trends. Quest for ‘timeliness, efficiencies, accuracies’ is what modern business administration is pursuing. Only with the assistance of the Internet will this goal be achieved. Likewise, administration of education is similar to the modern business administration in perusing these goals.
It has been nearly three years since elementary schools adopted SFS in the Taichung area. This research studies the current application of SFS in elementary schools in Taichung and investigates potential factors which may affect its acceptance. Applying Technology Acceptance Model, the research looked into relationships between a set of exogenous variables (system characteristics, management and hardware support) and perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and attitude toward system use. Literature survey and questionnaires were used for this research. ‘Survey Questions of Attitude of Using SFS and Acceptance by Elementary School Teachers’ was the research tool. Subjects of research were elementary school teachers who are using SFS in Taichung Hsin. Completed survey questionnaires were processed and analyzed by the statistical package SPSS for Windows version 10.0. Statistical methods used include descriptive statistics, t test, one-way ANOVA and regression model analysis.
Research results can be summarized as following:
1.Significant differences of system acceptance are found between teachers’ gender, different weekly computer usages by teachers, and weather or not teachers have administrative responsibilities.
2.Significant positive relationships exist (1) between ‘system characteristics’ , ‘management support’, ‘external assistance’ and ‘perceived usefulness’, ‘perceived ease of use’, and (2) between ‘ perceived usefulness’ , ‘perceived ease of use’ and ‘attitude toward system use’.
3.Prediction powers are found (1) for ‘system characteristics’ , ‘management support’, ‘external assistance’ upon ‘perceived usefulness’, ‘perceived ease of use’, and (2) for ‘perceived usefulness’ , ‘perceived ease of use’ upon ‘attitude toward system use’.
Finally, conclusions and recommendations are enumerated based on the results of this research. They will serve as a resource for school information system offices, schools administration managers and future researchers.
