The subjects were randomized crossover assigned to experimental (oolong tea) period and control (water)period. Forty grams fat added and three cans of drink(750ml)were provided per day in the period of experiment. Compared with the water period, the percentage of body fat, mass of body fat and serum triglyceride were significantly decreased 2.9%, 2.6% and 17.7% in the oolong tea period(p <0.05), respectively. In addition, fecal total fat contents, fecal nitrogen compounds and neutral steroids excretion were significantly increased 52.4%, 12.6%, and 37.3% compared with the water period(p <0.01), respectively. These results suggest that oolong tea may increase fecal excretion of fecal fat and neutral steroids contents and reduce the accumulation of body fat for the effects of reducing dietary fat absorption.
