| Summary: | 碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 中國文學研究所 === 93 === The turning point of Liu, Tsung Yuan’s life occurred during his active involvement of Yong-zhen Reform where he ended up with a bitter death of depressed relegated life in Liu-Prefecture. A Sentencing of relegation as a result of participating in a failed reform had deeply influenced his official career planning and literature writing.
There are two distinct stages during his 14-year of relegation period: 10-year at Yong-Prefecture, and another 4-year at Liu-Prefecture. The purpose of this study is to observe and analyze prose and poetry made during the 2 stages of relegation period with focus of his literary style, inner mind change, and writing techniques.
The conclusion of this study demonstrated a counter argument as to what was normally thought of an immediate depression in Liu, Tsung’s early-relegated life.
