A Research of the Multicultural Counseling Ability : An example of Volunteers of“Teacher Chang”

碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 心理輔導研究所 === 93 === The purpose of the research was to discuss the multicultural counseling ability and the multicultural counseling issues. The author took the volunteers of ”Teacher Chang” as the objects of research. Hope we can pay more attention to the issues of multicultural counseling. This was a questionnaire survey. Delaminating-purpose sampler was used. This study took 450 volunteers of ”Teacher Chang” around north, midland, and south as the objects. 225 participants were valid. The ”Questionnaire of the Multicultural Counseling Ability” and ”Questionnaire of the Difficulty on the Multicultural Counseling Issues” were designed by the researcher to collect research date. The collected data were analyzed and interpreted by Means of Descriptive Statistics, T-test, One-way ANOVA and Pearson Product-moment Correlation. The research reached the following results: 1 The multicultural counseling ability on volunteers of ”Teacher Chang” was ”above medium”. 2 Volunteers of ”Teacher Chang” with different gender, age, language, experience and marital status displayed significantly on the multicultural counseling ability. 3 “Language” was the most difficult issue, while the following were “Age”, “Life experience”, ”Value”, “Social position”, “Gender” and “Province native place or nationality”. The last one was ”Sex tendency". 4 Volunteers of ”Teacher Chang” with different background showed significantly on the difficulty of the multicultural counseling issues. 5 The multicultural counseling ability appeared significantly correlated to the multicultural counseling issues. Finally, based on findings, suggestions were proposed for Volunteers of ”Teacher Chang” and future research.
