The structures of PEG-MBA and the intermediates were identified by FTIR, NMR and Mass spectroscopy. PEG-BMBA was through supersonic vibration of the compound in CH2Cl2/MeOH solution of different polarity and was examined by UV-Vis or FT-IR spectroscopy. It was found that the assembly of the compound was formed chiefly through hydrophobic interaction and coordinative bonding.
