Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電機工程系 === 93 === Peng-Hu Islands are the major islands of Taiwan. For the sufficient supply of power, Taipower company has finished the first and second stages of Jian-Shan power plant engineering and total twelve diesel-electric generators are set up. In order to exploit the resource of wind power efficiently at the same time, eight sets of 600 kW wind farm are merged into the system such that the power system in Peng-Hu Islands becomes the largest one of isolated island power systems except for Taiwan. The aim of this thesis is to simulate and analyze the operating situation of Peng-Hu Islands power system by the Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP). The characteristics and load distribution of the governor for generator set, effects on the frequency of power system when generators outage, analyses of short-circuit current and transient stability of power system are discussed here. Through the simulations and analyses, the operating situations, limits of operation and the best operating schedule of generator sets are explored. By the best operating schedule, the area of outage due to load shedding or the unnecessary event that power system blackout can be reduced.
