Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電機工程系 === 93 === This thesis investigates the tag antenna of the radio frequency identification (RFID) system. Three different electrogmagnetic numerical softwares, HFSS, IE3D and XFDTD, have been applied to analyze and design the antennas. Also, measurements are performed in NTUST Antenna Far-field Anechoic Chamber to verify those simulations. Besides, since the tag antennas are usually very close to the objects to be tagged so that the performance of the antenna may be significantly affected by the objects, different antenna designs for particular applications are studied and verified by testing. For the tag antenna designs, two design structures are presented: one is a monopole antenna style which may reduce the antenna size; the other is a slot antenna style which may be applied to tag metal objects. This study considers both wave propagation and antenna in theory and practice to establish the analysis and design procedures of the RFID system, which may be employed in the RFID applications and designs.
