In addition, the kind of situations in movies that children are often placed in, the interactions with adults, the ability of children to solve the predicaments and overcome their weaknesses, and finally reach socially accepted manners, are also questions of interest. The films selected for this study are films with child actors/actresses of the Golden Horse Awards, as well as those participated in the International Children’s Film Festivals, including Regrets(1958) ,Our Neighbors(1963), The Story of Small Town(1979), Green Green Grass of Home(1982), Teenage Fugitive(1983), Dull-Ice Flower(1989), A Piggy Tale(1991), and Bear Hug(2004). For the present study, descriptive statistical analyses had been chosen as the theoretical references for constructing analyze charts, and referential tools such as freeze frames had been chosen as the pictorial demonstration. The study results show that children are all living in the environment constructed by adults in those movies, and it is the same for both family and school. The circumstances of their interaction with adults in their surroundings are half positive and half negative. Any incidents occurred are deemed to be necessary for their future development. In the end, they are always able to overcome predicaments or successfully develop moral thinking or pro-social concepts, and ultimately celebrate their successes.
