Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 土木工程學研究所 === 93 === The third party building damage should be considered into one of construction risks, especially in crowded communities. However, Vibration Clause, the potential solution of distributing responsibilities between owners, construction firm, and residents, is deficient in investigating and analyzing its benefit. Prior research made several important statements on claim mechanism caused by the third party building damage and construction techniques. In fact, what seems to be lacking is the point of view of construction firm in analyzing the real benefit of Vibration Clause. The purpose of this research is to examine the influence made by building damage and provide an operational strategy. This research compared the insurance policy between foreign countries and Taiwan. Meanwhile, this study collected insurance data and analyzed the statistic results. Then, interviewing with related experts was adapted. The objective is to assist construction engineers and insurers to make relational decisions in Vibration Clause of Construction All Risks. The results of this research are as fallows: 1) Insurance premium and cover section of crack and collapse should be separated. Accordingly, insurers may further provide more capacity to construction firms. 2) Vibration Clause based on the need of practice should be revised. 3) Restrictions in insured amount of engineering contract should be improved.
