碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 兒童文學研究所 === 93 === A thick local novel is easy to read, but always can cause the feelings, arouse the memories and inspire the emotion from soul. This thesis plans to study the novels from Chen Ray-Bi, sample selected the single-article pamphlets for the issued time from start until year 2002, which are including ten chapter of 5 short article and 2 lengthy. For the element formed about a novel, there are different thoughts. Consolidate we found that Characters and Plots are the key element applicable to all. Not only a story is the basic in forming a novel but also related to the theme. Therefore, this thesis is focus on 3 parts to analyze, which are ‘Theme and Subject’, ‘Characters’, ‘Plot’. This research divides in 6 chapters. Chapter one, Introduction State the researcher’s motive, background, research’s importance and purpose, reference document studies, range and restriction…etc., Chapter two, Chen Ray-Bi and Children Literary Creation. Introduce the creation causes of authors and children literature. Chapter three/ four / five, Analyze from short article and lengthy. Chapter six, Conclusion and suggestions. From research, we found that Chen Ray-Bi always setting the theme from Taiwan’s agriculture as the background. By writing the life story to perceptual express her feeling of nameless person who has making great efforts to this land, and praises their unusual from the ordinary. The characters are selected from around and let people feel much friendly to read. It seems this housewife writer has already found her position, and is giving out light .
