This study employed the single subject experiment design with the A-B-A procedure. The subjects of this study were three students with low language achievements from the same elementary school in Taitung City. In addition to the original language lessons, this study was conducted for 36 class periods. (40 minutes each class period, three class period in a week, for 12 weeks) The experimental instruction was divided into three levels. The first level was “baseline phases (A)”, which included the conduct of “Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Third Edition(WISC-Ⅲ)”, “Reading Difficulty Screening Test”, and the pre-test of “Grade Chinese Characters Reading Test”, The second level was “the intervention phases (B)”. Based on the media material instruction strategy, media material instruction was conducted in this level. Tests of one-minute reading aloud, reading comprehension, phonetics, Chinese characters, phrase, sentence-making, summary, those were conducted before or after the instructions. The third level was “the maintenance phases (A)”. To discover the results of learning, “Grade Chinese Characters Reading Test”, “Reading Difficulty Screening Test”, and “Reading Comprehension Test” were conducted in this level. After the analysis of the results, the major findings were summarized as follows: 1.Multimedia teaching material instruction improves the low achieving students’ reading learning effects. 2.Multimedia material instruction lowers the lack of attention in class. 3.Multimedia teaching material instruction raises the low achieving students’ will of learning. 吳淑美 王明泉 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 158 zh-TW
