Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 合作經濟學系 === 93 === With the fluctuation of international oil price and the change of petroleum market liberalization these years, they have become a shock to Taiwan’s economy. The purpose of this research is to probe into this issue. Base on previous research, there were many scholars using computable general equilibrium model to estimate the effects of oil price changes toward Taiwan. Yet, they hypothesized the structure of market was under perfect competition, which did not conform to the real market structure. As Taiwan’s petroleum market is imperfect competition, this research temp to combine imperfect competition into the model, simulating the effects of oil price rising and petroleum market liberalization toward Taiwan. The result is that, when the petroleum market is under imperfect competition, the alteration of oil price is smaller than it’s under perfect competition. Also when considering the impact of petroleum market liberalization, as the number of factories and stories grow, the more that market competes, the more social welfare rises. According to this result, if we haven’t combine the market structure into the model when considering the oil price changing, the result will be different. In addition, the fact of the changing of social welfare, is when the petroleum market liberating, the social welfare increases. It brings more social welfare when the government pushing petroleum market liberalization. Therefore, to benefit the society, this should be an on-going government policy.
