The main purposes of this study are to understand the tendency of Law Education of social studies learning area teachers of elementary school in Tao-Yuan County, and try to investigate if different background variables will influence their campus legal knowledge and tendency of .legal attitudes. In order to achieve the purposes of this study, the questionnaires and case interviews have been used in this investigation.
First,the researcher reviewed many papers about the Law Education and structured the strong relation between the Law Education and social studies learning area 〝A questionnaire for the campus legal knowledge and the tendency of legal attitude of elementary school teachers in Tao-Yuan County〞designed for this study is to be the research tool. The researchy objects are the social studies learning area teachers of elementary school in Tao-Yuan County . The methods of frequency, percentage, mean, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation are applied to analyze the data.
The following findings are emerged from this study:
A. Age and service years with respect to the legal attitude of elementary school teachers in Tao-Yuan County comes to be significant, but non- significant for others factors.
B. .Gender and laws-courses-studied with respect to the campus legal knowledge of elementary school teachers in Tao-Yuan County comes to be significant, but non- significant for others factors.
C. Legal attitude and campus legal knowledge of elementary school teachers in Tao-Yuan County are not obviously negative
According to the above findings, the following suggestions are proposed:
A. The teachers college should offer more laws-associated courses to let students study.
B. The Department of Education should arrange laws-associated programs for teachers to learning and studying.
C. Schools should combine communities to arrange laws-associated activites for students to learning and studying.
